Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Could have a line drawn around their cardboard tube 2 cm from the end to show the length of the cuts; could use an item such as a lolly stick to make marks around the end of their tube to help them space the cuts evenly; could draw around a 2D shape for the base; could use pre-cut lengths of masking tape.
Pupils working at greater depth
Should describe elements of their design that worked well and something that they could improve; could use more than one cardboard tube; could make cuts at the top of the tube to create more interest.
