Lesson 4: Bee-Bot world

Using a map template to create a Bee-Bot world, children then work in pairs, programming their Bee-Bots with specific instructions to navigate the map and reach an intended destination

Pupils needing extra support: Still take navigating the map one step at a time. The end goal might be three steps away, but they clear (‘x’) > move > ‘Go’ each time.

Pupils working at greater depth: Plan their route getting from A to C whilst missing out B (see the ‘Wrapping up’ section).
