Learning to identify performance markings in staff notation and applying these to reflect variation in dynamics and emphasis when music is played.

Lesson 4: Harmony

Learning about the concept of harmony, children read staff notation and practise tuned percussion parts that layer to create a harmonious effect in the piece Indian fantasy.

Lesson 5: Film sequence

Combining their tuned percussion harmony parts, their sound effects and some acting, the children perform the piece 'Indian fantasy' along to a visual backdrop of a bustling street scene.
