Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Could work in supported groups to write short sentences, using the unit Knowledge Organiser: French – Y5 In my French house to ensure accurate spelling of vocabulary and prepositions.
Pupils working at greater depth
Should challenge to add more detail to their sentences using connectives (et – and, mais – but) and colour and size adjectives, remembering that size adjectives go before and colour adjectives go after the noun, for example, dans ma chambre il y a une grande chaise bleue et une lampe noire. La chaise est devant le bureau and la lampe est sur le bureau.
