Pupils needing extra support: Ensure children are partnered with a more able peer, so that they can work together and discuss their understanding. Emphasise the importance of teamwork so that the more able pupils don’t end up doing all the work. Establish core questions for partners to ask each other before deciding what each code means, e.g. how does the QR code reader know which way around the code is? How do we know what the data means? How do we interpret the data?

 

Pupils working at greater depth: Could be challenged to create a QR code treasure hunt for their classmates.
