Lesson 2: How do companies encourage us to buy online?

Pupils look at some of the methods used to encourage people to buy things online (e.g. advertising offers, in-app purchases, pop-ups) and learn to recognise some of these when they appear online.

Pupils needing extra support: Work as a group for the Activity: Scenario cards and have the slides available for reference.


Pupils working at greater depth: When working through the scenarios the children can also suggest what the children could have done in these situations. They can also create their own to share and discuss with the class at the end of the lesson.
