- To know how to debug an algorithm
Pupils should be taught to:
- Understand what algorithms are, how they are implemented as programs on digital devices, and that programs execute by following precise and unambiguous instructions
- Create and debug simple programs
- Use logical reasoning to predict the behaviour of simple programs
Pupils needing extra support: Should be encouraged to step and turn according to the instructions on the map.
Pupils working at greater depth: Could create their own buggy algorithms (and the correct answer) to match the maps.
