Lesson 5: Painting: Packaging collage 2

Children trace a section of the collage they drew and then scale it up by copying the contents of each tracing paper square onto a corresponding square on an A3 grid before painting it

  • To successfully upscale a drawing and paint accurately

  • Improve their mastery of Art and design techniques, including drawing, painting and sculpture with a range of materials [for example, pencil, charcoal, paint, clay]

Pupils needing extra support: May need to have the grids pre-drawn for them, or provided after they have attempted it themselves.
