Lesson 5: French singing contest - grand finale

The grand finale: pupils perform the songs they have written in French for the class Eurovision Song Contest, complete withany costumes and props to reflect the European countries they have researched.

Learning objective

  • To perform a song in French from memory with accurate pronunciation

  • Present ideas and information orally to a range of audiences; develop accurate pronunciation and intonation so that others understand when they are reading aloud or using familiar words and phrases

  • If you filmed the performances watch them back and ask the children to give each other feedback
