Pupils needing extra support: Stick to circles and think carefully about colours used. Aim to draw at least three circles one inside the other.
Pupils working at greater depth: Should be challenged to describe shapes without looking at them. Should consider drawing squares to go behind circles to make the artwork more like Wassily Kandinsky was born in Russia and died in France. He produced his most important art between 1920 when he moved to Germany and his death in 1944. He is known as the first abstract (non-figurative) artist.
