Cat Lamin

Cat was a committed primary school teacher for twelve years until she followed her passion for computing. After starting her independent consultancy ‘Crossover Solutions’ she has travelled to Argentina, Brazil and America to share her wealth of knowledge and understanding of computer science with other teachers. Her enjoyment for the subject has also won her a John Pinner Award for service to the Python community (a community of developers and educators who use Python within their coding) and a shortlist entry for European Digital Woman of the year in the European Ada Awards.

Cat’s passion for computing extends to her hobbies too, she is a lover of all things Raspberry Pi and is part of the pi-top PiWars team. Away from computing she is takes on the role of actor and director in amateur theatre and enjoys playing board games.
