The Lost Sheep Parable
This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow Religion and worldviews scheme of work. It tells the story of a shepherd who looks after one hundred sheep and notices when just one goes missing. Instead of forgetting about it, he leaves the others in a safe place and searches everywhere until he finds it. The story shows how much the shepherd cares for each one of his sheep. This parable is special to many Christians, as it helps them think about love, kindness, and the importance of looking after everyone—especially those who might feel lost or left out.
The video is designed to be shown to pupils as part of Religion and worldviews, Mixed-age, Y3/4 (A): Who was Jesus really? Lesson 3: What did Jesus do?
