Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support

Could use the Presentation: Word match when decorating their poppy to recall what Remembrance means; could choose a word to stick in the centre of the poppy using the words from the Presentation: Word match; should use the Knowledge organiser for vocabulary support.

Pupils working at greater depth

Could be tasked with asking specifically ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions during the Attention grabber; could discuss how the poppy is linked to Remembrance Day in the Wrapping up.
