Recap and recall

Explain that the children will work with a partner to remember what they have learnt about sliders. Display the Presentation: 3, 2, 1 and arrange the children in pairs. Read each statement from the slides aloud. Allow time for paired discussion after each prompt.

Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing support

Could use the Activity: Pictures (support) to help when adding images to their slider game; could use pre-cut guides to stick on the back of their game.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should include more than four words and pictures to match; should attach multiple guides for each slider to ensure the mechanism is smooth; could create their own words for the game rather than use the Resource: Words.
