Could be given a pre-cut Activity: Pattern piece templates; could watch the Pupil video: Running stitch before the lesson and have it slowed down and on a loop during the lesson.
Pupils working at greater depth
Should experiment with different types of stitching, such as the cross-stitch and blanket stitch, as well as the running stitch; could draw their own pattern pieces; could add a button to the top of the pouch to fasten it.
