Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support:

  • Could use the Resource: Emotions and feelings poster to aid discussion and when completing the Activity: My kindness pledge in the Main event.
  • Could refer to the Presentation: Ways to be kind when discussing the scenarios in the Main event and when completing the Activity: My kindness pledge.
  • Could draw their pledge on plain paper instead of writing it.

Pupils working at greater depth:

  • Should suggest a consequence of their kindness pledge (e.g. I will ask others to join in games at breaktime so no one is left out).
  • Could say how showing and receiving kindness could affect mood over a day, making links to the lesson
