Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing support:
- Could be pre-taught the idioms for being energised or not energised (e.g. running on empty or full of beans).
- Could pre-watch or re-watch the Pupil video: Staying hydrated to help embed the knowledge.
- Could complete the relay with a partner rather than individually.
Pupils working at greater depth:
- Should consider how keeping energised in the short term contributes to good long-term health.
- Could be given a blank card to write their own energy giver or energy taker statement.
