Before starting this unit, you might want to check that the children can recall that:
Natural structures are those found in nature.
Man-made structures are those made by people.
Shapes and structures with wide, flat bases or legs are the most stable.
The shape of a structure can affect its strength.
A stable structure is one which is firmly fixed and unlikely to change or move.
