Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing support:
- Could have adapted challenges in the Main event to take into account any specific physical or sensory needs.
- Could pre-read or re-read the Resource: Health benefits to embed the knowledge.
- Could use the images and vocabulary on the Knowledge organiser as prompts in the Wrapping up to reduce cognitive load.
Pupils working at greater depth:
- Could explain how different physical activities may benefit our minds and bodies in different ways, e.g. yoga vs. swimming vs. rugby.
- Should identify whether an activity is exercise or physical activity by explaining that exercise is planned and repeated to improve fitness, while being active includes any movement.
