Display the Presentation: Range of answers and ask the children to discuss the question:
Which of these are changes that can happen in puberty to both boys and girls?
- Growing taller. (Both.)
- Deepening voice. (Boys' voices will break in puberty and therefore deepen noticeably, although actually girls' voices do deepen too, but at a much more gradual pace and without 'breaking'.)
- Growing hair under your arms and in your pubic area. (Both.)
- Starting your period. (Girls.)
- Sweating more. (Both.)
- Mood swings. (Both.)
