Lesson plan

1. Recap and recall

The children have previously learnt about looking after their teeth in RSE & PSHE, Year 2, Lesson 7: Looking after our teeth. Remind the children that it is important to have a healthy diet not only for our bodies, but also our teeth. Discuss why keeping our teeth healthy is important.

Ask the children what they use their teeth for (answers may include: biting, chewing, talking, and they also change the way we look.)

Explore the sections, 'Looking after your teeth' and 'Brushing your teeth' from The Children's University of Manchester website:'Looking after your teeth'.
