Emily Montenero
Emily Montenero – Senior Lecturer Primary Science – St Mary’s University Twickenham.
Emily Montenero is a Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education with five years’ experience supporting and developing future primary teachers. She brings over 20 years of classroom experience as a primary school teacher, including a decade as a science leader, where she led whole‑school science development and professional learning. Her areas of expertise include primary science education, oracy in science, creativity, decolonising the science curriculum, and the development of science capital to support inclusion, equity, and student/pupil voice. Emily is actively involved in the PLAN resources, is a member of the ASE Primary Committee, and works as an Associate Consultant for Primary STEM Education Consultancy. She is a STEM‑accredited CPD provider, a PSQM Hub Leader, and publishes in science and education journals, contributing research‑informed perspectives to the field.
