Support and challenge

Adults can use the opportunity to:

  • Hand the children a torch and take them into a dark space, such as a black-out tent or dark room, to experience the dark and light.
  • Discuss daily routines with the children, helping them to recognise that the Sun rises in the morning just before they wake up and sets in the evening around bedtime (the exact times change with the seasons).
