Adults can use the opportunity to:

  • Take the children on an outdoor sound walk to develop their listening skills and awareness of different sounds in their environment.
  • Encourage the children to share their reasoning for choosing particular instruments during the ‘Guess the instrument’ task (see Carpet time).
