Understanding PSHE and making positive choices

This RSE & PSHE video introduces the children to what PSHE means and why it is important. It helps the children understand that PSHE lessons support them in learning about themselves and others, in looking after their bodies and feelings and in practising how to be kind, fair and safe.

This video explains how PSHE helps the children make good choices in everyday life, including at home, at school, online and in the wider community. The children explore how to get along with others, ask for help when they need it and take care of their wellbeing. It also helps the children understand that PSHE is part of lifelong learning and supports everyone to live healthy, happy and safe lives.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE KS1 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
