Learning to keep trying and grow

This RSE & PSHE video uses the story of Priya and the monkey bars to help the pupils understand the difference between a fixed mindset and a growth mindset. They follow Priya as she feels frustrated and unsure of herself when she struggles to complete the monkey bars, believing she is not good enough.

The video then shows how things can change when Priya decides to keep trying. With practice, support from a friend and determination, she improves step by step and eventually succeeds. The pupils learn that challenges can help them grow and that effort, resilience and a positive attitude can lead to progress. This supports them in developing confidence, perseverance and a belief that they can improve with practice.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE LKS2 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
