Understanding how rules help keep us safe

This RSE & PSHE video helps the children understand how rules keep them safe at school, at home and in the wider world. Through simple examples, they learn that rules are designed to protect people and help everyone make safe choices. The video explores everyday rules, such as walking in corridors, asking an adult before using certain objects and tidying up after playing.

The video helps the children understand why following rules is important by showing how they can prevent accidents and keep people safe. They learn what to do if they come across something dangerous and are encouraged to ask an adult for help if they are unsure about something. By exploring different situations, the video helps them recognise that rules support their safety and the safety of those around them.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE KS1 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
