Using vector fill and text in Sketchpad

This Design and technology scheme of work video shows the children how to use Sketchpad to add different colours, patterns and text to their digital designs. It shows how to apply more advanced colour effects, including linear, radial and pattern fills, to explore different appearances and choose the most suitable option. It also shows how to add text to image-based designs, select an appropriate font style, change the colour and size and arrange the position of text and images effectively.

The video illustrates each design step clearly so the children feel confident and well prepared to enhance their digital designs in the lesson and unit below.
