Can we trust everything we see online?

This RSE & PSHE video helps the children understand that some pictures online may have been changed using technology and are not always real. Through the story of Priya and her cat, the children see how a computer can edit photographs to make things appear that were never there, such as a hat on a cat or even a flying cat.

As the story unfolds, the children learn that digital tools can create images that look realistic, even when they show something impossible. The video encourages children to think carefully about what they see online and introduces the idea that computers can change pictures in ways that make them look real. By exploring these playful examples, the children begin to develop important skills for recognising that not everything they see online can be trusted at first glance.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE KS1 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
