Building healthy and respectful friendships

This RSE & PSHE video helps the pupils understand why friendships are important and how they can support wellbeing. The pupils learn that healthy friendships help them feel happy, cared for and supported, and that good friends can cheer them up, celebrate their successes and help them through challenging times.

The video also helps the pupils understand that friendships are not always perfect and that disagreements can happen. The pupils learn how talking calmly and listening carefully can help resolve problems and strengthen relationships. They explore how friendships can change over time as they grow older, meet new people and develop new interests. The video reinforces that every friendship is different and that treating others with respect, kindness and honesty is key to building and maintaining healthy friendships.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE UKS2 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
