This RSE & PSHE video supports teachers in understanding how the EYFS lesson resources can be used to deliver purposeful learning. It outlines how the different resources provided with each lesson support adult-led learning, assessment and opportunities for children to revisit and develop their learning independently.

The video explains how interactive presentations and Kapow Primary’s characters can be used to introduce learning in an engaging, child-friendly way. It also highlights how the characters provide a distancing tool, allowing children to explore different situations without needing to talk about their own experiences.

The video also explores how pocket plans support the delivery of adult-led tasks, with prompts to extend children’s thinking and suggested observations to help teachers recognise and assess learning. It shows how continuous provision activities link to the learning objective and provide opportunities for children to revisit and develop their learning independently through play in different areas of the learning environment.
