Why staying hydrated helps our bodies work well

This RSE & PSHE video helps the children understand why staying hydrated is important for keeping their bodies healthy, energised and focused throughout the day. They learn that water is an important part of the human body and helps many parts work properly, including the brain, muscles, skin and blood.

The video explains what it means to stay hydrated and helps the pupils think about healthy drink choices. They explore the difference between drinking water and sugary or sweetened drinks and learn simple ways to stay hydrated throughout the day, such as carrying a water bottle, taking regular sips and drinking water with meals. This supports the pupils in developing healthy habits and making positive choices for their wellbeing.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE LKS2 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
