How our minds and bodies work together

This RSE & PSHE video helps the children understand the connection between their minds and bodies. The children learn that the brain links how they feel and think with how their bodies respond, and that physical health and mental health can affect each other. They explore how feeling unwell can change their mood and thinking and how worries or strong emotions can also affect their bodies.

The video introduces simple, everyday ways to look after wellbeing. The children learn that getting enough rest and sleep, being active, eating and drinking well and taking part in enjoyable activities can all support both their mental and physical health. The children are encouraged to make positive choices that help them feel healthy, happy and balanced.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE LKS2 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
