Using gentle movement to feel calm
This RSE & PSHE video supports the children in managing their feelings through a series of calming, gentle stretches. Without words, the video demonstrates simple movements that help the children slow down, focus and become more aware of their bodies.
The video encourages the children to follow along at their own pace, using movement to release tension and feel more settled. By taking part in the stretches, the children are supported in developing self-regulation skills and finding a simple way to calm their minds and bodies when emotions feel big.
This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE LKS2 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
