How mindset shapes learning and resilience
This RSE & PSHE video helps children understand how their mindset can affect how they face challenges and learn new things. They explore the difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset, learning that a growth mindset means believing that practice, effort and mistakes can help them improve over time.
The video explains that everyone can sometimes feel stuck or unsure, but that recognising these moments and continuing to try can help build confidence and resilience. The children learn that mistakes are a normal part of learning and that asking questions, practising and reflecting on what could be improved can support progress. The video encourages them to approach challenges with a positive attitude and understand that skills and understanding can continue to grow throughout life.
This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE UKS2 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
