Finding a healthy balance online

This RSE & PSHE video helps the children understand that spending time online can be enjoyable and offers many ways to learn, communicate and have fun. Through familiar examples, the children explore activities such as playing games, watching videos and keeping in touch with friends and family using digital devices.

The video also explains the importance of balancing screen time with other activities that support health and wellbeing. The children learn that spending too much time on screens can sometimes leave them feeling tired or cause sore eyes, and that it is important to make time for activities such as playing, being active, spending time outdoors and getting enough sleep. Throughout, the video encourages children to think about healthy habits and how to enjoy technology as part of a balanced lifestyle.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE KS1 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
