Understanding how we grow and change

This RSE & PSHE video helps the pupils understand how people grow and change through different stages of life. The pupils learn that growing up is a journey where people become bigger, develop new skills and gain more independence over time.

The video explores different stages of development, beginning with babies, who need care and support to stay safe and healthy. The pupils learn how babies communicate and gradually develop movement and independence. The video then looks at toddlerhood and childhood, helping the pupils reflect on how skills such as walking, talking, learning and playing develop as people grow. The pupils are encouraged to feel proud of their own progress and understand that growing and changing is a natural part of life.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE KS1 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
