What does it mean to go online?

This RSE & PSHE video introduces the children to the idea of going online and explains that the internet connects digital devices around the world. Through simple examples, the children learn that many everyday activities use the internet and that digital devices such as tablets, smartphones and computers can help people connect, communicate and find information.

The children explore some of the different things people can do online, including making video calls, sending messages, searching for information and ordering items. By linking online activities to familiar devices and experiences, the video helps the children begin to understand what it means to be online and encourages them to recognise the digital devices they use in their own lives.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE KS1 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
