Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support:
- Should use the Activity: Evidence and conclusions: support version.
- Could listen to the audio of the example conversations more than once during the Main event.
- Could have sentence starters to support their discussions, for example: En mi opinión, los mayas eran… – In my opinion, the Maya were…
- Could use the Knowledge organiser to support with the names of the Maya landmarks and the adjective translations.
Pupils working at greater depth:
- Should strengthen their opinions by using the full range of opinion phrases, including en mi opinión – in my opinion, creo que – I think and para mí – for me.
- Could take turns to dictate their sentences to their partner.
