Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support

Should use the audio from the presentation for repeated listening and pronunciation practice during the Main event; should look at the prompts on the board for support during the Main event.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should apply knowledge of key phonic sounds, enabling them to pronounce new words independently during the Recap and recall; should, during the vocabulary consolidation section of the Main event, use gestures to act out and guess full and extended sentences such as Tengo un gato – I have a cat, and Tengo un perro y un lagarto. – I have a dog and a lizard.
