What's changing?

We are updating our Music, Computing and D&T schemes. Refreshed units of lessons are being published throughout the 2026/27 academic year. From September 2026, schools can choose to use refreshed units as they become available or continue teaching the current schemes until the full refresh is complete in 2027/28. These updates have been informed by customer feedback, new educational research and updated guidance.

Refreshed long-term plans (including condensed and mixed-age versions) are available to explore on the Music, Computing and D&T Curriculum portals, with refreshed units of lessons available in the Preview area as they are published.

Units will be published ahead of teaching each half term:

Autumn 1 at the start of July 2026

Autumn 2 in mid-October 2026

Spring 1 in early December 2026

Spring 2 in early February 2027

Summer 1 at the start of April 2027

Summer 2 in mid-May 2027.

As refreshed units are released, they will sit alongside current schemes, with clear labelling to help schools navigate both versions.

Current schemes will remain permanently accessible through Kapow Primary’s Content archive, allowing schools to continue using them if they wish.
