Beliefs about life and death

This Religion and worldviews video introduces teachers to the unit “How and why are we here?” and supports children in exploring beliefs about death, reincarnation, karma, and the soul across Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist worldviews. It equips teachers to guide children in investigating concepts such as samsara, moksha, mukti and nirvana, and understanding how different beliefs offer responses to life, death and the idea of the soul or consciousness. The video also highlights how to create a safe and respectful space for children to express personal ideas and respond to beliefs different from their own with sensitivity and understanding.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Religion and worldviews resources – life and death. It simplifies complex spiritual ideas, ensuring teachers feel confident and prepared to help children explore identity, belief and life after death in the lesson and unit below.
