Using Kodable to practise algorithms

This Computing video introduces teachers to the Kodable platform, supporting them in guiding pupils to develop coding skills through interactive puzzles. It explains how pupils create algorithms by dragging and dropping arrow commands to guide a character through mazes, helping them understand how sequencing controls outcomes in a digital environment.

Teachers are guided through accessing the Hour of Code resources and supporting the pupils as they build, test and improve their algorithms. The video encourages teachers to promote careful thinking and debugging, helping the pupils run their code regularly, identify errors and refine their solutions with increasing confidence.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Computing – Year 2 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to develop their digital skills, explore key computing concepts and create their own digital projects.
