Understanding the features of the BBC micro:bit

In this Design and technology teacher video introduces the BBC micro:bit and provides an overview of its key features. It helps teachers become familiar with the device by explaining its main components and how they can be used to support learning in the Wearable technology unit.

The video demonstrates the buttons, LED display and built-in features of the micro:bit, explaining how they can be used in a range of coding projects. Teachers are supported in building confidence with the device so they can help pupils explore how code can be used to control and improve products.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Design and technology videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore and make their own products.
