Learning how to save and organise digital work
This Computing video introduces the children to saving and finding files on a computer. The children learn what files and folders are, why computers use icons to represent actions such as saving work and how clear file names make it easier to organise and find their work.
The video demonstrates how files are saved, stored in folders and opened again later. By exploring these everyday computing skills, the children begin to understand how organising digital work helps them find and use their files efficiently.
This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Computing videos, which help pupils develop their understanding of computer systems and digital technology. It encourages children to recognise how computers are used in everyday life and the different ways they can help us.
