What makes children feel safe?

This RSE & PSHE video helps children think about the different people, places and moments that help them feel safe. Through examples, children see that feeling safe can come from many things: spending time with family, having a bedtime routine, playing with a pet or keeping a special object close.

The video highlights that everyone’s safe feelings are different, and that noticing what makes us feel calm and protected can help us understand ourselves better. These examples encourage children to recognise who helps them feel safe and to think about ways they can support others to feel safe too.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE resources, supporting children in learning how to care for themselves and one another.
