Algorithms in everyday life

This Computing video introduces the pupils to algorithms and how they make technology work all around us. It helps the children understand that algorithms are sets of instructions that tell computers and devices what to do and when to do it.

This video explores how algorithms are used in everyday technology, showing the children that they are not just part of coding lessons but are built into many of the devices and systems they use every day. The pupils see how clear, well-ordered instructions help technology function correctly and support the world around them.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Computing – Year 2 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to develop their digital skills, explore key computing concepts and create their own digital projects.
