Pupils needing extra support

Should be given set criteria to sort the minibeast cards; could be given fewer minibeast cards to sort; could complete the Activity: Minibeast classification key (support) by drawing and labelling the minibeasts in the correct boxes.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should choose three criteria during the grouping minibeasts task; could justify the order of questions they have chosen in their classification key; should choose four different minibeast cards they wish to include and write their own questions.
