Pupils needing extra support

Could be given the statements for the line of agreement activity (see Wrapping up) prior to the lesson to allow time to think about their responses; could explore the Humanist and Christian statements on the Activity: Golden Rules as they may be more accessible.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should be encouraged to explain their position on the line of agreement using key vocabulary (moral, empathy, experience, reason and decision); should consider two or more statements from the Activity: Golden Rules and consider why they are similar.
