Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing support:
- Could use role-play or freeze frames to understand why rules are important by acting out what happens when a rule is followed or ignored.
- Could draw rather than write their rule on a sticky note to contribute to the class agreement by representing their idea visually instead of using extended writing.
Pupils working at greater depth:
- Should propose improvements or additions to the class agreement when they identify gaps or unclear rules.
- Should help peers rephrase negatively worded rules into positive statements independently.
- Could suggest rules that apply across different situations in school.
